November 2023 Prayer Letter
Thank you Royal City Baptist Church for keeping us in prayer and your sacrificial support. Below is a brief summary of how the Lord marvellously blessed in recent weeks.
OCTOBER 15 - BLESSED FIRST SERVICE! The Lord is truly able to do “exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask or think.”(Eph. 3:20) Approaching our first service, I was hoping for a few attendees, but have to admit I was bracing for a plodding zero. God brought ten local people from the community to our first service! We can only praise the Lord for building His church. The week leading up to our first Sunday, we distributed twelve thousand John & Romans with a special invitation to our service. The Lord also granted many divine appointments.
I met Jerry as he was coming out of his house. Jerry (in his early 60’s) was saved several years ago, but has been out of church for a good while. He attended our first service, and has not missed one since. Then there is John, a man in his thirties, who has been has been searching for a KJV church. After receiving our John and Romans, he attended a Meet and Greet, and has not missed a service since.
Danny and Francesco are two Catholic men who also received a John and Romans, and have now come for three weeks. Lord willing, we will meet next week to study the Gospel more in depth.
BIBLE STUDY WITH BRAN During our first service one of the BPCM helpers struck up a conversation with the hotel guard in the lobby. Bran is 6’9” tall and a “Strongman” competitor; needless to say- he’s huge! He approached me after the service and said, “Two weeks ago, I told God I want to turn my life around, I want to be a better man. Then a church starts where I’m working. That’s more than coincidence.” He filled out a visitor card and indicated he wanted to study the Bible. I have now had two personal Bible studies with Bran and I believe he is close to being saved. Please pray for him!
BAPTIST CHURCH PLANTING MINISTRY We thank the Lord for the help of this special ministry. Certainly there’s no “program” that builds the work of God, but what a tremendous blessing it has been to have the wise counsel, encouragement, and assistance of the director, Brother Rowland and the BPCM team. They worked tirelessly to help distribute the John and Romans, and we are grateful.
THE POWER OF PRAYER We have learned yet again, when God’s people pray, miracles happen. Many have contacted us in recent weeks, telling us they were praying for us, especially anticipating our first service. When God’s people join together in prayer, interceding for others and for God’s great work to be done, how He loves to answer those prayers! Thank you for praying, and we ask, please continue!
